Cathecassa's band moved closer to the land of Storm to protect the pregnant Whiskey from the stallion who was hounding her. As they moved closer and Starstruck went into heat. Usually she avoided going outside the band but she envied Whiskey's growing belly and she was much wiser now. What happened with Starfire's sire would not repeat.

The clouds up ahead were gathering and it began to lightly rain. Starstruck kept at an even canter and the rain stopped after a few moments. She smelled a stallion ahead. He was as gray as the the rumbling clouds above them. He greeted the mare happily introducing himself. They walked for a while. Starstruck looked up and figured the light rain would grow heavier soon. In good will she began to groom Storm's flank and side. He nickered pleasantly and returned the kind gesture. Starstruck studied his behavior and movement then made her decision that this stranger would sire her next foal but then she'd return to her band.
